Beloved of God, we bless the name of the Lord in this very season, in this very hour, for what He has done in our lives.
It is not by might, it is not by power — it is by the mercies and the grace of God.
Once again, this is your friend, your pastor, your prophet, your apostle, Henry Duodu Appiahkorang. Hallelujah.
I want to share a very powerful message with you, and it is my strong belief and strong faith that by the time I finish with this important word and important message, it will bring deliverance, power, and honor into your life.
One thing I’ve seen about this life is that there are many people going through all kinds of delay, stagnation, and demotion — certain patterns that are not good in the eyes of the Lord.
I strongly believe that it is God who knows what He is doing.
Before we dive deeper into this message, I want us to pray together so that we can know the mind of God concerning these issues. Let us close our eyes and pray together.
Our Heavenly Father, we bless Your holy name.
Holy Spirit, speak unto us. Give us understanding. Give us wisdom.
Let this word bring forth life and power. In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray, Amen.

Let us dive deeper into our message today.
Let us go into the word of God.
Before I share this word with you, let me give you the foundation for this biblical teaching — this powerful message.
I have titled this message “30 Ways of Dealing with Delay, Stagnation, Demotion, and Backwardness.”
I have been through these things by the grace of God, and God is really helping me to come out of these chains.
I have come to realize that stagnation, demotion, and backwardness are spirits that try to limit the glory of men and women of God — innocent people.
So, let us open our Bibles to the book of Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10 onwards.
When we read Ephesians 6:10, the Bible says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
In verse 11, it says, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may stand against all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
Verse 12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, principalities, rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in high places.”
If we go to 1 Peter 5:8, the Bible also says, “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, roams like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”
And in John 10:10, the Apostle John writes, “The thief comes not but to steal, to kill, and to destroy.”
So, child of God, these scriptures show that we are at war in the realm of the Spirit.
There is a battle between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness.
There are many scriptures that confirm this.
If you get my books, by the grace of God, I have written more than 10 books on spiritual warfare and more than 10 books on demonology. I have shared many of my experiences in them.
I have come to realize that delay, stagnation, demotion, and backwardness are spirits.
Child of God, understand this key concept: these things I am sharing, I have experienced them in my life.
I know what it means to be delayed.
I know what it means to go back to square zero — sometimes you struggle and push forward, but still find yourself moving backwards.
So, I want to give you some powerful remedies, teachings, and biblical keys that I used to break out from these things. Because I know that it is not the will of God for you to remain in such a situation.
Are you getting me?
It is the will of God for you to prosper, because the Bible says, “I know the thoughts I have toward you, not of evil, but to bring you to an expected end.”
So, it is the mind and will of God to bring us to a glorious end.
But it is the devil who wants to delay our lives.
So, understand this first key concept:
The spirit of delay, stagnation, demotion, and backwardness is a spirit.
It is a demonic spirit, an unclean spirit that tries to barricade, stop, and limit people from progressing.
It prevents people from accessing what God has programmed for them.
Understand that this spirit often reveals itself in dreams.
Sometimes, in your dreams, you may see yourself back in your village.
Other times, you may see yourself as a child.
Sometimes, in your dreams, even if you are 50 years old physically, you see yourself as a young boy or girl, back in school.
You may find yourself crawling or wearing tattered clothes — poverty clothes.
You may see yourself in a public toilet, or your former primary school teacher beating you again in your dream.
You may try to write an examination but can’t finish it.
All these are signs that the spirit of delay, backwardness, demotion, and shame is at work.
You may see yourself back in your village or your old school.
You may see yourself writing exams, but unable to complete them in your dream.
These are evidences that a spirit — an unclean spirit — is operating to pull you backward.
You may struggle and push forward in life, yet still find yourself pulled back.
Know that this is a demonic entity working in the realm of the spirit.
Also understand that there is a root cause for this situation.
Nothing happens without a cause.
There is something behind it — and I will teach you all these things.
Another thing you must know is that there is a legal ground for stagnation.
There is a legal ground why the enemy is operating in your life.
Demons and unclean spirits often operate on legal grounds.
Some demons are rebellious — they do not need legal permission — but most operate legally.
They use open doors such as sin, disobedience, pride, or curses as their access points.
So, before delay, stagnation, demotion, or backwardness can come into your life, there must be a legal ground. You must find out what gives them the right to operate.
You also need to check your habits.
Examine your daily lifestyle, your character, and your attitude.
These things can empower the spirit of delay to stay in your life.
Your habits, attitude, and daily activities can either open or close doors to these spirits.
Check your friends — your circle of influence.
Check the videos you watch, the books you read, the songs you listen to, and the games you play.
All these things are channels through which the spirit of delay, stagnation, and demotion can operate.
I am just giving you an overview before diving into how to break free.
I am going to give you over 30 master keys — possibly over 40 — if God permits me.
These are the powerful keys that the Lord gave me to overcome stagnation, delay, and backwardness.
The first key is this: Acknowledge Christ Jesus.
You must acknowledge Christ Jesus.
Without repentance and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the demonic forces still have access to your life. Real power and true authority come from Jesus Christ.
The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
So, as long as you remain in sin, you remain in bondage.
To break free from the spirit of stagnation, delay, backwardness, demotion, and shame, you must first acknowledge your sins and repent.
Turn away from sin, run away from it, and separate yourself from it.
If you want total deliverance from these demonic channels and gates, first repent — change your mind.
Repent from wicked acts, and then accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior.
When Christ comes into your life, He brings deliverance.
All power and all authority belong to Jesus.
The Bible says in Philippians that at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee and every tongue — in heaven, on earth, and under the earth — must bow to the glory of God.
So, if you surrender your life to Jesus Christ, it becomes the master key to break every chain.
When Jesus enters your life, He sets you free and breaks every chain and unclean power limiting you.
Confessing Christ Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior is the master key to total deliverance.
The third key is this: Repent from specific habits.
As I said earlier, check the games you play, the books you read, and the songs you listen to.
The Bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue.
So, what you hear, watch, and say carries spiritual power.
The words from videos, music, or books can carry spirits that influence your life.
The more you listen to them, the more their spiritual energy affects your soul and spirit.
So, examine your daily habits.
If you are lazy and do not like to work, it can become a gateway for delay.
Laziness opens the door to poverty and stagnation.
The Bible says, “Go to the ant, you sluggard, and learn from her ways.”
If you are lazy, you will experience a delay.
Check your habits — do you spend too much time on social media?
You can spend hours on TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, or Netflix.
You can spend the whole day watching unproductive videos or movies.
You cannot expect God to prosper you when you waste time on unimportant things.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t enjoy yourself sometimes — but don’t waste all your valuable time.
The more time you waste on unproductive things, the more you empower the spirits of delay and backwardness.
Check your daily habits.
If you are spending five hours daily on social media without productivity, you are wasting your destiny.
If you use social media profitably, that’s fine — but if not, it empowers the enemy.
The more time you waste, the stronger those unclean spirits become in your life.
So, check your habits and repent from bad routines.
Overcoming Stagnation
Another key you have to know is this: Constantly use the midnight hour.

Now, the fourth master key is: constantly use the midnight hour.
If you want to break out from the spirit of delay, shame, backwardness, and demotion, use the four watches of the day and the four watches of the night.
I personally love to pray at midnight because there is something powerful about midnight prayer.
When you pray at midnight, you confront the powers that work in darkness.
You see, the wicked demons and unclean spirits work actively in the midnight hour.
So when you rise to pray between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., while others sleep, you are waging spiritual warfare.
When you pray and counterattack these spirits at midnight, you receive faster breakthroughs.
I have experienced this myself, and I know it works.
When you consistently pray at midnight — targeting the spirit of delay — you will begin to see favor and deliverance in days, weeks, and months to come.
So, constantly use the midnight hour.
Apostle Paul and Silas also prayed and praised God at midnight, and their chains broke.
The midnight hour is when the forces of darkness are most active, programming evil.
The Bible says, “While men slept, the enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat.”
It is at midnight that the powers of darkness plan their wickedness, confusion, and sickness.
When you rise to counter them in prayer, you break their operations.
The midnight hour is a time for deliverance — a season for divine action.
By the grace of God, I have several teachings on the midnight hour.
In my books, I’ve written deeply about it, so get them and study more.
Use the midnight hour, child of God.
You will experience a quick and powerful breakthrough if you pray from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
At that time, pray, sing, and honor God.
As you do, you will see the power of God overflow in your life.
Another master key is the constant renewal of the mind.
Renew your mind constantly through relevant, godly books.
You see, if your mind lacks substantial information, you will make poor decisions.
The Bible says in Hosea 4:6, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.”
Ignorance opens a portal for the enemy to control your life.
The devil uses ignorance as a weapon to keep people bound.
So, child of God, don’t be ignorant.
Change your ideology, your mindset, your philosophy, and your belief system through the right knowledge.
Read books that are based on the Word of God — books that transform and uplift you.
If you don’t renew your mind, you will remain where you are.
Your mind is a great asset — an invisible one.
Just as a car needs fuel to move, your mind needs godly knowledge to function.
If you don’t fill your mind with resourceful knowledge, anyone can deceive you.
The devil targets people who are ignorant of the truth.
He will bombard you with fear and confusion if you lack God’s Word.
So renew your mind daily.
Fill your heart with light and wisdom through reading.

So, child of God, read and transform your mind with truth.
When you renew your mind with knowledge, you overcome the darkness that causes stagnation.
Ignorance keeps people trapped in confusion, but knowledge brings light and freedom.
Another key is this: Become one with the Holy Bible.
The Bible is the ultimate knowledge, the unstoppable wisdom, and the mind of God.
Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”
If you become one with the Word, you will walk in freedom and power.
Meditate on the Bible, feed your soul with the Scriptures, and let your life be filled with God’s Word.
The Bible is the breath of God; it builds your inner man.
When you are full of the Word of God, darkness cannot dwell in you.
Every spirit of delay and stagnation will flee as the light of the Word enters your soul.
So, child of God, become one with the Bible.
Let your heart, soul, and mind be filled with God’s truth.
Another key is this: Build a strong fellowship and relationship with the Holy Spirit.
By the grace of God, I have written more than 15 books about the Holy Spirit.
From my experience, if you build a relationship with the Holy Spirit, He will reveal things to you.
He will guide, teach, sanctify, and empower you.
If you love the Holy Spirit, He will love you.
If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you.
One of the best ways to build this relationship is through spiritual songs, praises, and worship.
In your room, in your secret place, always play inspired Christian music.
Love God, honor God, and keep your atmosphere filled with worship.
As you do, your spirit is renewed and your faith grows stronger.
In my own room, I love to play worship songs — they charge and empower me.
When you build intimacy with the Holy Spirit, delay and stagnation cannot stay.
The Holy Spirit is a jealous Spirit; He cannot dwell with unclean spirits.
The more you love Him and fellowship with Him, the freer your life becomes.
He will teach you, guide you, mold you, and sanctify you.
He will make you strong and set you apart for the kingdom work.
When you align with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of delay and backwardness will flee from your life.

So, child of God, build a deep connection with the Holy Spirit.
He is the sweetest, most glorious, most precious person in your life.
When you become one with Him, nothing can hold you down.
He will empower and teach you to walk in victory.
Overcoming Stagnation
Another key you have to know is this: You have to set yourself apart for Jesus Christ.
Set yourself apart for Jesus — that means living a holy lifestyle.
The Bible says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)
The Bible also says, “This is the will of God, your sanctification — that you abstain from fornication.”
Our bodies are members of Christ, the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice — holy, pure, and acceptable unto God.”
So, child of God, if you want to break free from the spirit of delay, stagnation, demotion, and unclean spirits, live in holiness.
Set yourself apart for Jesus. Give yourself as a living sacrifice to God.
Hate whatever God hates, and love whatever God loves.
Pursue righteousness, purity, and holiness.
Walk in obedience to the Word of God.
Let your life be an example of humility, peace, and truth.
When you set yourself apart, the Holy Spirit will lead you in sanctification.
You will walk in the light of the gospel and reflect the nature of Christ.
Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”
He also said, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
So, child of God, if you want to overcome delay and stagnation, pursue a holy lifestyle.
Walk on the narrow path — for wide is the way that leads to destruction, and many follow it.
Have a pure heart and a clear conscience.
Love people, avoid bias, and live in obedience to God’s Word.
If you dedicate your heart, body, and soul to Jesus and serve with sincerity, the spirit of delay will flee.
When you yield your body as a living sacrifice, you give God full access to work in your life.
Without holiness, no one will see the Lord.
The Bible says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)
Hebrews 12:14 also says, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
So, pursue peace, purity, and obedience.
If your heart, mind, and conscience are consumed by the Holy Spirit, you will walk in victory.
When your zeal is for God, your life becomes a vessel of holiness and power.
If you follow this path, the spirit of delay, stagnation, and backwardness will leave you.
Every unclean power will lose its grip on your destiny.
Another master key is this: Constantly declare the Word of God over your life.
Confess and decree God’s promises daily.
The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
So, child of God, your words carry power.
When you begin to declare God’s Word, you activate His authority in your life.
The Bible says that the Word of God is like a hammer that breaks every rock and like fire that consumes everything.
Hebrews 4:12 says, “The Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword.”
It pierces the soul and spirit, discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart.
So, speak the Word daily.
Declare God’s promises over your life every morning.
For example, declare:
“I am the head and not the tail. I am above and not beneath.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
Every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I condemn.
Whatever my Father has not planted in my life shall be uprooted.”
Declare it: “I root out shame. I root out stagnation. I root out demotion, setback, and poverty.
Whatever God has not planted in my life, I remove it in the name of Jesus.”
The Bible says, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
So, as you call upon the name of Jesus, you are delivered.
Declare daily that God’s plan for your life is good and not evil.
Command the morning, speak to the stars, and declare victory through Christ Jesus.
When you decree and declare the Word of God, your life aligns with His promises.
Do it daily — early in the morning, in the midnight hour — and you will see transformation.

Overcoming Stagnation
Another powerful key you can use to break the chains of stagnation and demotion is this: Deal with both your good dreams and your bad dreams.
Yes, deal with your dreams — both the good and the bad ones.
Dreams are one of the channels through which God speaks to us.
When you get a bad dream, it doesn’t always mean destruction — sometimes, God is revealing something for you to pray about.
By the grace of God, I have several teachings on dreams.
If you go to my YouTube channel, I have more than 10, possibly 15, teachings on dreams.
I also have a book about dreams.
So, if you get a bad dream, don’t sit idle.
Cancel it in prayer. Deal with bad dreams immediately.
Sometimes, God reveals the plans of the enemy to you through dreams.
For example, you may dream about death, sickness, or a setback.
You may see yourself back in your old school, unable to write an exam.
You may see yourself as a child again, being injected, pursued, or eating strange food.
All these are signs of spiritual attack.
Don’t ignore them.
Failure to deal with your bad dreams opens the door for the enemy to work.
Before the devil strikes, he often projects it through dreams.
So, when you have such dreams, pray, fast, and cancel them.
If you have good dreams, also pray for their manifestation.
When you deal with both your good and bad dreams, you block the spirit of stagnation and demotion from operating.
So, child of God, pay attention to your dreams and pray accordingly.
Another master key is this: Fellowship with a ministry that is strong in prayer, deliverance, and the Word of God.
Find a church that believes in fasting, prayer, deliverance, and Bible-based teaching.
There are some churches that don’t believe in prayer.
Some don’t fast, some don’t believe in deliverance, and some are not Word-based.
So, find a genuine church — a ministry truly called by God.
A church that preaches sound doctrine and builds people through prayer and fasting.
Every genuine church has an altar — a spiritual covering.
When you align yourself with a prayerful church, that altar begins to fight for you.
As you pray and fast with them, your life will begin to change.
So, fellowship with a strong ministry that believes in the full gospel.
Another master key is this: Disassociate yourself from hardened sinners.
Disconnect from people who refuse to repent and live in rebellion.
There are sinners who can repent, but there are others who are possessed and stubborn.
Such people can influence you negatively.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.”
If you associate with unrepentant and rebellious people, their spirit will affect you.
Evil communication corrupts good manners.
So, if you connect with people who oppose the Holy Spirit, you open the door for delay and stagnation.
When you unite with the disobedient, you empower the same rebellious spirit in your life.
So, child of God, disconnect from people who love sin and refuse to repent.
Cut off from unholy associations.
Keep your distance from those who influence you toward ungodliness.
Some will take you to bad places, give you ungodly advice, or lead you into sin.
If you stay with them, you empower the spirit of shame and delay to remain in your life.
So, disconnect from such people and align yourself with those who are pursuing God.
That will help you maintain your deliverance.
Another master key is this: Associate yourself with godly people who are born again and prayerful.
Align with those who love holiness, purity, and the Word of God.
The Bible says, “Iron sharpeneth iron.”
So, when you connect with godly friends, you grow together in strength and faith.
Do Bible study together.
Pray together. Share the gospel together.
When you walk with people who love God, your life will move forward.
But when you associate with the wrong people, stagnation and backwardness will follow.
So, child of God, choose your associations wisely.
Yoke yourself with godly men and women who will lift you spiritually.
Another master key is this: Deal with self-imposed curses.
Sometimes, you may curse your life unknowingly through negative speech.
For example, you may say, “Oh, for me, this will never happen.”
Or, “I can’t succeed,” or “I’m always unlucky.”
These are self-imposed curses.
When you speak such words, you open the door for stagnation and demotion.
The words you say about yourself carry power.
So, stop speaking negatively about your life.
Renounce every self-imposed curse you have ever spoken.
Declare freedom in the name of Jesus and cancel every negative confession.
When you break these self-inflicted curses, the spirit of delay will lose its hold on you.
So, speak life, not death. Speak progress, not backwardness.
Another master key is this: Break yourself free from family curses.
Sometimes, the cause of stagnation may be from your family line — your father’s or mother’s side.
There may be generational covenants or ancestral patterns blocking progress.
If you break these family curses, you will experience deliverance.
So, pray and renounce every curse in your father’s and mother’s lineage.
Declare your freedom in Christ Jesus.
Because of time, I will not go deeper here, but know that family altars can affect destinies.
Break them in prayer and fasting.
Another master key is this: Break yourself away from curses tied to your schools, communities, or regions.
Sometimes, the place you studied or lived may carry a curse.
Some schools or communities have evil foundations or altars.
If you attended or lived in such a place, you may have been unknowingly initiated.
So, break those covenants and spiritual ties.
Disconnect from territorial curses and demonic foundations.
Pray and declare freedom from community altars, demonic churches, and cursed environments.
Once you break those ties, you will walk in freedom and progress.
Overcoming Stagnation
You must also break yourself away from every ungodly soul tie and every covenant connected to your past relationships.
There are some ungodly soul ties that keep people bound spiritually.
Maybe in your past relationship, you slept with someone who was not your spouse — someone who might even have been a witch or a wizard.
The Bible says, “He who joins himself to a harlot becomes one body with her.”
So, whoever you’ve had sexual relations with, you create a spiritual connection — a soul tie.
If that person is not your husband or wife, you’ve entered into an ungodly union that gives access to the enemy.
Sometimes this can even happen through things like masturbation or emotional attachment.
You must break those ties.
Declare that every ungodly soul tie in your life is broken in the name of Jesus Christ.
If you follow my teachings, you’ll find detailed guidance on how to break ungodly soul ties.
Also, break yourself away from every covenant your family or ancestors may have made on your behalf.
Maybe your father, mother, or grandparents entered a covenant unknowingly.
Sometimes it may go back ten generations, even as far back as Adam and Eve.
Trace it, identify it, and renounce it.
Break away from every ungodly covenant and every satanic agreement made in your name.
Disconnect yourself through prayer and the blood of Jesus.
Declare your freedom from every ancestral or generational covenant, whether from your father’s side, mother’s side, or extended family.
When you do this sincerely, you will be delivered from the spirit of delay, stagnation, and demotion.
Another master key is this: Do what is necessary — make restitution.
Restitution means correcting past wrongs if the Holy Spirit convicts you to.
Maybe you have sinned against someone or offended somebody — perhaps you insulted or harmed them.
Maybe you offended your parents or an elder who spoke a curse in anger.
If the Holy Spirit leads you, go and apologize.
Seek forgiveness, and you will break that spiritual door of bitterness.
Sometimes, the anger or bitterness of others can open a door for delay or hardship in your life.
If you harmed or lied against someone, go and make it right.
Maybe you caused someone’s suffering, or you committed a serious sin like abortion or false accusation.
Go and confess it before God, and where possible, make it right.
If you confess your sins sincerely, deliverance will follow.
The Holy Spirit may remind you of something specific — obey His voice.
Another key is this: Eliminate every portal of the enemy.
These portals can be invisible sins — things like pride, jealousy, bitterness, or unforgiveness.
You may gossip, envy others, or harbor anger in your heart.
These invisible sins empower the enemy and give him legal ground.
So, child of God, deal with pride, jealousy, hatred, and unforgiveness.
Let go of bitterness and backstabbing.
Clean your heart of every hidden sin.
If you keep those things inside, you give the devil access to your life.
Another key is this: Honor your father and mother.
Honor your parents, guardians, and those who have been a blessing to your life.
The Bible says, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, that it may be well with you and you may live long upon the earth.”
So, child of God, honor your parents.
Respect the elderly, appreciate those who helped you, and show gratitude.
As you do that, every unclean power that hinders your blessing will begin to depart.
Another powerful key is this: Constantly plead the blood of Jesus Christ over every area of your life.
The Bible says that the blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel.
When you plead the blood, it silences every voice of accusation.
Say: “I plead the blood of Jesus over my life. Let the blood speak mercy and victory.”
Declare: “Blood of Jesus, set me free from family curses, satanic covenants, and generational strongholds.
Blood of Jesus, deliver me from every power of shame, stagnation, delay, and demotion.”
The Bible says, “They overcame the dragon by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
So, child of God, keep pleading the blood of Jesus daily.
When you do, the voice of mercy will speak for you.
The blood of Jesus will destroy the works of darkness in your life.
As you continually plead the blood, every chain of shame, backwardness, stagnation, and demotion will break in Jesus’ name.
The blood of Jesus is your weapon of deliverance.
Overcoming Stagnation
So, child of God, I think this is enough for you.
As time goes on, I will share more powerful keys with you.

May the blood of Jesus speak mercy over your life.
Every spirit of backwardness, stagnation, demotion, shame, and poverty is cursed and dismantled in the name of Jesus Christ.
Receive deliverance in the mighty name of Jesus.
It is written, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Receive your deliverance through the power of Jesus Christ.

If you are sick and hearing me, I declare — by the stripes of the Lamb — you are healed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Receive mercy, receive wisdom, receive understanding, receive peace, receive joy, and receive healing.
