Devotional 3: Discern the Snake Before It Strikes

From the book, The Mysteries of Household Enemies and Wickedness

📖 Scripture: “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” — Matthew 10:16

Reflection:
Enemies don’t always roar like lions — sometimes, they whisper like friends. God calls us to wisdom, not paranoia. A snake in your garden can look like a rope until it strikes. Discernment is your spiritual eyesight.

Your destiny requires caution, not carelessness. Don’t give keys to everyone who knocks.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, sharpen my discernment. Help me to see beyond smiles and words. Protect me from spiritual blindness and make me as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove. Amen.

Call to Action:
Ask God to reveal any “wolves in sheep’s clothing” around you today. Pay attention to His prompts.
