How David Dealt with Household Enemies

When King Saul saw David’s glory, jealousy took over. Saul sent soldiers to kill David in his own house (Psalm 59). In The Mysteries of Household Enemies and Wickedness, I explain how David discerned, escaped, and prayed through opposition from someone in authority — a father figure.

Key Lessons:

  • David didn’t confront Saul in the flesh — he prayed.

  • David recognized spiritual wickedness behind Saul’s actions.

  • Psalm 59 shows how David turned to God, asking for protection from “bloody men” and “workers of iniquity.”
